I am running a H.323 VoIP network. We have not had any trouble until the
guys in accounting want to break-up the LD bills. So we have implemented
account codes on the PRI at the Gateway. This is the service from Sprint
that each caller dials the LD number and then they are presented with a
tone. At this point they must enter in the code and press #. This is
pretty straight forward, but the people are starting to use the codes from
other sites. So some site disconnected service and are still getting
bills. I say get rid of them more trouble that they are worth. I need to
put the account code in the router so that when calls are made from a
location they are put in the dial string so that the LD code is entered
for their site. No user intervention
I need to come up with a plan to inbed the number in the router using
translation rules.
voice translation-rule 31
rule 1 /^\(.*\)/ /\1,,,10121#/
R1.9_voice_gateway#test voice translation-rule 31 2146742198
Matched with rule 31
Original number: 12146742198 Translated number: 12146742198,,10121#
Original number type: none Translated number type: none
Original number plan: none Translated number plan: none
So this rule is to put the code on every number dial the only down side is
that I can seem to get the code accepted and the call fails.
We are using a Sprint PRI and this connects directly to the gateway.
Dial-peer is as follows
!
dial-peer voice 9 pots
destination-pattern 12147642198
translate-outgoing called 31
no digit-strip
port 0/0/0:23
forward-digits extra inband
!
Syslog output

So regardless of the #s and (,)s I can seem to get a call through. Has
anyone had to work with this. We dont use Call Manager only Gateway and
Gatekeepers. Any one have any insite.
