[cisco-voip] SSH and Telnet to IP Phones

I am in the process of upgrading a 4.13 cluster to 6.1. There are 1000 phones connected to the cluster but they are all in stores across the US and Canada. The old process was to manually configure the IP phones with their IP settings and TFTP settings. This was because there wasn't any DHCP to the stores. We are moving to put DHCP on the router locally at the store and supply the phone with the necessary info to register to the new cluster.
I have been thinking of ways to do the reconfiguration of the phones remotely. The only way I can think of is to either have the store do a factory reset on the phone when they are to be converted or use SSH and/or Telnet to the phones. I know in 5x and above you have an SSH login you can use to get into the phone. But I only see a default user login, a debug login and a log login to see debug messages.
Does anyone know if there is a login to the phones that we can use to actually reset the phone to default? Also do you know what firmware/CCM version we need to be at before we have the option to remotely connect to the phones.
I have used the VoIP Integration Remote Phone program but that isn't feasible for converting 500 phones in one night.
The phone types are 7905, 7906, with the majority (935) 7940, and (135) 7941
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
