Hi, you have to configure differente dialrules dependig on the number of digit.

For example:
In italy there are Mobile phone that usualli is stored on outlook database like +39 XXX XXXXXXX

So the application rule will be: Number begin with 39 (without +), number of digit 12, Digit to remove 2, Prefix digit 0

So if the dialed number from outlook is +39 347 1234567 the application rule tranlate in the number 0 347 1234567 and make the call

If i want to call a fixed national number like +39 0125 54567 i need to implement a new rule with

Number begin with 39, number of digit 11, digit to remove 2, Prefix digit 0

Try to make different Application Dial Rule.

Regards

Alessandro Bertacco

No matter what I do, this won't work. It just says "failed to complete call", and looking at the CUPC logs (C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Cisco\Unified Personal Communicator\Logs), it doesn't appear to be ever adding the "91" onto the number - it just dials directly. The application dial rule is in place, and it works perfectly for the Attendant Console.

Is there any way to troubleshoot this, or any additional known issues? Any other setting it needs to know to have to use the application dial rules?

Thanks.

You need to create application dial rules.

Go into CallManager and select Call Routing > Dial Rules > Application Dial Rules.

I needed to create one because users don't have the 9 + 1 in front of their contacts.

So I said:

Name - Outlook Dialing 10-Digit
Description - 10 Digit Outlook Dialing
Number Begins With -
Number of Digits - 10
Total Digits to be Removed - 0
Prefix With Pattern - 91

Now when users use their CUPC to click to dial a contact it uses this rule. After you create the rule you need to restart CUPC because it needs to download these rules on start up
