You might verify your MCS server is supported on CUCM 6 as not all MCS
servers are not supported on 6.x.

i need to upgrade from 4.2 to 6.x , is it easy to done or we have to upgarde
to 5.x first , what about the hardware , does the sever need to be replaced
with another one or it can be done on the MCS series server ? , what about
the linux operating ? which is suitable version ( suse , redhat , debian
.....) for this upgarde
