All,
I am in the process of cleaning up the QoS on our corporate LAN switches
so that they conform to the latest Cisco SRND recommendations (EF voice,
CS3 signaling) for DSCP markings. During my research I have noticed
some inconsistencies even in AutoQoS in IOS. For example, below are two
examples.
3750 AutoQoS macro cisco-global - 12.2(40)SE
* mls qos map cos-dscp 0 8 16 24 32 46 46 56
6500 AutoQoS macro cisco-global - 12.2(33)SXH1
* mls qos map cos-dscp 0 8 16 26 32 46 48 56
It looks like the AutoQoS in the 3750 switch has it correct however the
6500 (running IOS) does not, yet it is a more recent release. What
COS-DSCP mappings are you using in your environments and why?
Matt
