Dan
First, are you sure you have DID/FXS trunks? They're not terribly
typical is why I'm asking...
Anyway --
voice-port 0/1/0
signal did wink-start (assuming wink-start is what your other end is
using)
input gain 4 (if you need this, use it. otherwise don't)
!
dial-peer voice 150 pots
incoming called-number .
port 0/1/0
!
ephone-dn 1
number 5552340
!
ephone 1
mac-address aaaa.bbbb.cccc
button 1:1
!
etc..
1. Analog DID trunks will pulse in what number they are calling so don't
put "incoming called-number 5552340" use "incoming called-number ."
2. You cannot place calls out a DID trunk, they can only receive inbound
calls. If you want to make a call outside, you must have an FXO card
connected to regular analog trunks (some call them 1FB or 1FL). Might
be stating the obvious, so I apologize.
3. I'm guessing you're trying to map a number 2340 to 1010 with that
num-exp. You can do that if you want, but you can also use a
translation-profile on the voice-port which will be cleaner. Plus, you
need to num-exp only on what's being delivered. I imagine the phone
company is only pulsing in 3 digits if you've actually got DID service.
So you're only going to match with "num-exp 340 1010" and not the whole
5552340.
As the numbers are being delivered you can watch all the action by
typing:
debug voip dialpeer all
term mon
>From your telnet session.
Good luck,
-mark

Ok, so this is what I have so far, but I still get a busy signal.
voice-port 0/1/0
signal did wink-start
input gain 4
dial-peer voice 150 pots
incoming called-number 5552340
port 0/1/0
!
!
num-exp 2340 1010
You were saying something about an ephone-dn?
Dan.

virtual dial-peer that is associated with the ephone that you assign
this ephone-DN to.
