[cisco-voip] CUCM 6.1 Upgrade and IBM MCS

You need to have IBM replace the motherboard. Apparently there was
an issue with a small number of those servers that reported the CPU
incorrectly. I found another TAC SR with the same issue.

So open a TAC SR and shoot me the number and I'll put a note in there.

Actually I just discovered the hardware validation log show's that
it's picking the cpu up as 1.4Ghz, which oddly enough is what it
displays in the bios under system information. /proc/cpuinfo shows
6.0Ghz (HT)? It is actually at 3.4 Ghz. I've got a bios update
downloaded from IBM, but I don't want to install it and risk
stability with cucm 6.1. Do you have any bios version information for
IBM servers as it relates to CUCM 6.1? Thanks in advance.

There's only the one 6.1 disk that I can see for both HP and IBM
servers. According to http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/

7825-I1-IPC1 is supported with 6.1.

Do you get a specific error message regarding clock speed, etc?

Yeah, I've tried the disc a few times. There's something about the
hardware the installer doesn't like, or I don't have the correct
installer for a IBM 7825.

The CCM 6.1 disc does not specify HP on it, so I am guessing the IBM
one is the same....

To be honest, I don't think it matters, worst case, just try the disc,
if your system is not compatible, i am sure it will tell you... from
the specs you gave, it should be fine.
