[cisco-voip] Patches, Upgrades, Service Releases.......

Basically OS patches come out on a monthly basis. I like to wait a week or
so before applying them, in case someone else runs into issues.
CM SR's are on a as needed basis. if somethings broken or needs updated
then upgrade.
as for the SR you have to stay in the same train when applying patches. IE
4.1.3 would be needed to install any 4.1.3 SR patch. same is true of 4.2.3or
5.1.x or 6.1.x etc.
as for CRS / IPCCx, UCCx or what ever they call it today, OS patching can be
done at the same time as the CM. Same patch is applied to both applications.
I've been burned with UCCx enough I just don't update unless I have to.
YMMV.
I've changed my thoughts a little more to if it's not broken...... Don't fix
it. But count on if you have TAC calls that they will suggest you upgrade.
just my 2 cents
