i recently dma upgraded from 4.1.3 to 6.1.1-2000-3 and in the process
changed hostnames and ip addresses. This procedure is supported.
However, I ran into an issue where the sqlhosts file on the new
6.1.1publisher contained the old subscriber names and thus because of
this
DBreplication between the 6.1.1 nodes was broken. I had to open a TAC case
and TAC had to root in and manually edit the sqlhosts files on all
6.1.1nodes to remove all stale references to the old subs.
The TAC engineer didn't have a DDTS for this and I didn't push her for it -
but I think this is or will be a known issue because another coworker of
mine has encountered the same problem on a similiar DMA upgrade.
My advice - check the 'db replcation status' report in the new UC reporting
menu with the 6.1.1 webpage. It contains very useful data on the current db
replication and can help troubleshoot any issues you may encounter.
