Very good information. I have been searching for a way to reset the
passwords. Do you have the source of your info?

In Windows you could modify an ini file to change this password. With the
linux based CM AC actually grabs the encrypted password for the application
user from the database, so technically it doesn't matter what you set the
password to in CCMAdmin the AC service will always use the right password
(bounce the service after the pw change though). To be honest I just found
this out researching your question so it's a surprise to me, though a
welcome one.

So it looks like in 5.x and later if you see a complaint of a provider login
failure with AC it's more likely to be due to the user groups being correct
than the actual password being read incorrectly from the db by the AC
server.

I don't see where an if you need to verify the ac/devicauth user password
from a service perspective. I realize you need the app users to match the
users configured in the services. What if i wanted to change the password of
ac and the authdevice user, I don't think I can change just the app user
password. How do I change the password for the services, it's not in the
service parameters, and there is no advanced tab.

I did get past it. I had to verify the passwords on the 'ac' user and the
'ACDeviceAuthenticationUser' user (verify users in service parameters under
Attendant Console Service).

I also had to add the rights to those users:

Standard CTI Enabled

Standard CTI Allow Control of all Devices

Standard CTI Allow Call Park Monitoring

After all is said and done make sure that the service is restarted. I gave
it ten minutes and it worked.

Did you ever figure this out? I finally got past the call control failure in
6.1, for some reason my buttons at the top of the application are greyed
out. Answer hang up, hold, etc.

Gents,

I see where to change the Usernames in the service parameters but not the
passwords. Is it on a different page?

Remember you set both the username and password in the AC service parameters
too. They can be whatever you wish as long as they match the application
user configured.

Wes,

We are only LDAP.

Is there another way to verify the password. I reset it manually to 12345. I
also deleted and recreated the application users altogether.

Thanks

Dustin

"Failed to do provider Login"

the password configured for the AC user under user->global directory does
not match the password configured for the AC user in the service.
set the password under AC Server service parameters. then reset the password
for the user in ldap.

are you AD/LDAP integrated?

All,

Below is an error log while trying to use the Attendant Console. I have
restarted the service. I have verified the ac and ACDeviceAuthenticationUser
users, their passwords are set to 12345. They have the following rights:

Standard CTI Enabled

Standard CTI Allow Control of all Devices

Standard CTI Allow Call Park Monitoring

Any ideas are welcome.
