[cisco-voip] SRST - proprietary or not?

When you say "SRST (CME)" do you mean the SRST/CME combo deployment or in addition to SRST? We are using plain SRST because we need the scalability...will SRST by itself support this stuff as well? I'm guessing yes, b/c CUE uses SIP to communicate to when the route is in SRST mode.

SRST (CME) does provide a CTI based TSP now that some of our partners are developing against. You get full H.323 stack and SIP line side enhancements are in progress (if not already complete).

I'm just wondering if SRST support will only be with Cisco products. For example, if I have a 3845 can I expect at somepoint in time for other products to work off this? Appliances like Cistera, IPCelerate, etc use CTI ports I gather - it would be neat to see this continue to work in a WAN failure scenario.
