We have started getting complaints on the 7942s we just rolled out that the
audio seems muffled on the near end (though the far end has no issue). It
would seem to match bug
CSCso71668<http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCso71668>.
It isn't clear to me whether this is actually the way they designed it, not
anticipating that people wouldn't like it, or whether it is something
they'll actively try to fix.
We're running SCCP 8.3(2)S on CUCM 4.1(3)sr6a at the moment.
For now, we're swapping handsets for those who complain.
