[cisco-voip] Unity Connection, 7945s and they funny noise they make together

I recently chased down a similar problem, though the tone was not 
gradual, it just came on. We ultimately found it was being generated by 
the phone itself when we took a packet capture from the back of the 
phone and couldn't hear the tone on either leg of the call :-)

Found CSCso31064 - "Tones may be heard during silent intervals on 
7942/62/45/65/75 phones", applying the patched phone load took care of it.

If that's not it, packet captures from each device will at least help 
you isolate what component (Unity, phone, transcoder, gateway, etc) is 
inserting the noise.
