[cisco-voip] Who is doing IP video Telephony?

Even though I work for Polycom (we sell MCU's) I still recommend using
Cisco's MCU's with CUCM.

There are several sizes available and they (as many have mentioned)
integrate directly to CUCM for ad-hoc conferencing.

You can also do SIP and H.323 conferences that support standard definition
and Hi-def (if you move in that direction).

If you're moving to 6.1 Unified Personal Communicator becomes an option (it
is Cisco's SIP based client if used with Cisco's Unified Presence server).
Microsoft and Sametime can also be linked in with 6.1 for video and audio
(once again via CUPS).

Subject: [cisco-voip] Who is doing IP video Telephony?

We as many other places are feeling the pinch of gas prices. as a result we
are looking at pushing Video across the agency to help in reducing travel
cost between sites.

point to point Video telephony is a no brainer. but we are looking to add
conferencing. Which MCU would others recommend for conferencing purposes?

I don't know if it's an option but we would also love to use it for our H323
endpoints so we can continue to do our state wide conferencing but also be
able to use our VTA with it also. is this an option?

Thanks

Scott

PS. Currently on 4.1 but moving to 6.1 soon.
