Sinisa,

It's less painful than in the 4.x versions because you are not
performing integration - you will do synchronization. That means that
selected LDAP data will be synced with the CCM. Recently I perform
synchronization for more than 2000 users and works as a champ.

Anyway, to answer on your questions:

1. Only end-users will be synced. If end-user is deleted from the
AD it will be deleted from the Cisco Directory within sync time.

2. You can chose what fields from the AD will be used as a userid

3. PIN have to be configured in the CCM

4. Yes

5. All agents have to be configured in the AD

6. No. Only think that you need is the user in the Ad that will
have read rights against AD. Also, you have to know AD path to the user
container

Keep in mind that if AD is down your ICD/EMapp users are up

If you need more details, just let me know.

hi guys..

we need to integrate CUCM 6.1 and microsoft AD..

we had some painfull experience in 4.x versions..

so we're just cautious..beacuse we need to do it in system with 1400
users..and we don't want re-install anything..

J..

so, the question is, is it really that harmless as it is decribed..

can someone look bellow in the list of potential questions..

1. no application users and system users are integrated, just end-users

2. userid and password are imported from AD

3. PIN needs to be configured on CUCM

4. can we rollback to cisco corporate direcory - cisco LDAP afterwords

5. what about ICD extension option which was the problem ( we needed to
use AD tools to enable it - before in 4.x )

6. do we need to configure anything on AD itself ( schema edit etc. )

thanx..

regards..
