[cisco-voip] INIT error

Thanks for the info. That was it - booted into BIOS, enabled the COM port, no more spawning.

hmm,

"This is a result of the serial port on this server not being active.  On this server this must be done during system boot by pressing F2 to enter the BIOS.  Go to the Serial Communication section and turn on the serial port."

Do you have a serial port?  Is it enabled in the BIOS?
