[cisco-voip] Cisco 7931G

With the exception of the old Selsius phones, I can't think of any phone
that has a fixed hold button and a lot of line/feature buttons other
than the 7931. From what I have been told, it was designed to give a
"key system" feel for small office types that were used to a phone with
fixed buttons and a small display.
Just spend a few extra bucks and give them a 7965 with a nice background
and they will forget all about that fixed hold button. :)

Thanks Jason, that's sort of what I hear through the grapevine.
I have a few users who really want a Transfer and a HOLD button. Not
the dynamic kind (i.e. 7940, 7960) but one button that is always that
function. And lots of line buttons (not the LCD screen type). I know,
I know. These are old style users and they like their phones that way!
Can anyone recommend a similar phone that would work with 4.1???

Will not work on 4.x. I don't really like the 7931 but it could
be good for the right enviroment. i.e.- retail or if you want alot of
line buttons cheap. The display is very limiting on what you can do. I
am running a few on an Express deployment but will get rid of them when
the site is joined on to the enterprise call manager. They work fine but
they are now an older generation that will not support some of the newer
codecs.

Does anyone have any experience with the 7931G series? How do
you like it?
Does it work with older CCMs (i.e. the 4.1 series)?
Thanks.
