[cisco-voip] MeetingPleace Express integration with microsoft AD

You are probably better off to pull the users from CUCM, as CUCM is sync'd with AD already. Why reinvite the wheel

Same is true for MPx and UCM6.

I don't think it will integrate. I have the system here and I don't see a
configuration for it. I do have my CUCM 7.0 integrated with AD and then MPE
sync's the user accounts from CUCM.

Hi Gang,

I know Meeting Place (not the "express one") standard edition works with MS
AD but I 'm not 100% sure if the MPE can be integrated with Microsoft AD.

In a few implementation I have integrated Meeting place Express with Call
manager and Call manager was integrated with Microsoft Active Directory.

Any input appreciated.

I don't think the 3560 has a temperature monitor..

If there's not one via CLI, there probably won't be any via SNMP either.

I saw someone ask about how to get root access as TAC was telling them
to delete some license files.

True "root" access isn't required. You just need console or ssh access
to the server as the platform administrator. You can then use the "file
delete license filename" command. See the CUCM6.1.2 readme for more info:
http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074295/18307/ciscocm-6-1-2-Readme.pdf

Does anyone else find it odd that Cisco lists that they support only
Netscape and not Mozilla/Firefox?:

http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074295/18307/ciscocm-6-1-2-Readme.pdf
See page 36.

However, if you try to get Netscape, you will find it is not supported
nor released anymore:

http://browser.netscape.com/

Rather, they redirect you to get Firefox or Flock or a few others.

Wake up, Cisco. I recall an install I did for a spouse of a Cisco VP,
it was pre-CME/CUE's official release. Of course, CME/CUE didn't
support anything other than IE, which isn't a big deal in most places.
However, this place was a Mac-only shop.

Vendors need to wake up and stop all this IE and/or
Proprietary-Vendor-only stuff.

Just my little rant. I'd like to see the BAT tool re-written with
macros that work for OpenOffice.org as well. For now, VMWare solves the
problem, but slows things down.

I'd also look at the hardware to make sure you have the same. You may
just not have a temperature probe at all on the chassis. Here's my
