If you're actually trying to confirm the caller left a message, your
best/easiest bet is exchange message tracking. You just put in a user
and a time/date range, and it will show you the details of all of the
messages they received, including time and subject (which will contain
the calling party number for external calls). Of course, you need to
have message tracking enabled (it isn't by default).
