[cisco-voip] Phone Licencing

CH1 was just a nice little bundle they made to simplify ordering.
It included the phone, and licence.
If you ordered and you have received a paper license then all should be
well.
You probably ordered a CP-79XX something and a SW-CCM-UL something.
All of this is out the window if you are purchasing from a non reputable
partner / distributor - that may have just photocopied the certificate :)
Hence why Cisco introduced licensing in v5.x and up as Scott said. Before
that - it is all paper :) if you have an actual Cisco SO number, then you
used to be able to find out your licensing that way, or go through the your
partner / distributor to find out.
If you are considering upgrading with DMA you can carry licensing across,
without having to chase the paper.
Cheers,
Tim
