[cisco-voip] 4.x to 6.x upgrade

Going to CIPTUG next month? there are a whole lot of user presentation on
CM 4 to 6 upgrades and I'm also doing on that but will include UCCx and
other 3rd party apps also.

I am AD integrated.

User passwords are bogus as far as the upgrade. being AD integrated this
really does not apply. but if you have services on the IP phones and you
changed the pin to something special for each user for services.... this is
going to be a major pain.

CCMUser is still the AD integrated user / pwd.

As for getting them (PINS) from CM 4 to put into 6 I would look at BAT. (I
was lucky enough that I had all users using the same pin so it was an easy
deal)

I don't know of a background image think for the admins, but phone designer
is really cool for the end users ;-)

Speed dials stay so long as they don't change them between the time you do
your DMA export and the time you cut over. I had three weeks between DMA
and Cut Over. Helpdesk had to do changes on both systems during that three
weeks and they were ready to shot me, but it did give them good experience
with CM 6 before we cut over. (it should have only been two weeks but I got
really sick the weekend I was supposed to orginally cut over).
