Does this only happen on a particular switch or do you see it on others (if you have others)?

Imax would leave me to believe that you have maxed out your inline power
Do a "show power inline" on your switch and look for available power

Are any of the phones using power bricks or is all power coming from the switch.

Dear all
I have a 3560 switch connected to almost 14 7940 IP Phone, I have a very high call volume as it is an IPCC and a very loaded system
Sometime I have a very stange problem, all calls with outside callers do down on all IP Phones with no apperanet reason, sometime not all the phones it is a part of it only, sometime just only one phone.
I noticed this message in the logging of the switch also
2d09h: %ILPOWER-3-CONTROLLER_PORT_ERR: Controller port error, Interface Fa0/8:
ower Controller reports power Imax error detected
2d09h: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface FastEthernet0/8, change
state to down
2d09h: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface FastEthernet0/8, changed state to down
2d09h: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface FastEthernet0/2, change
state to down
2d09h: %ILP! OWER-7-DETECT: Interface Fa0/8: Power Device detected: Cisco PD
2d09h: %ILPOWER-5-POWER_GRANTED: I! nterface Fa0/8: Power granted
2d09h: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface FastEthernet0/2, change
state to up
I have 12.2(25)SEE2 software version
any ideas?
