[cisco-voip] Internal Masking

For internal masking you could set up a translation pattern that will
set the calling number to the helpdesk main number, and have them
invoke it by dialing some prefix.

For example your internal extensions are all 4 digits.
Your helpdesk main number is dn 5555.
You set up a translation pattern of *.XXXX, discard pre-dot, and set
calling party number to 5555.
Now your helpdesk staff just prefix the internal number with * and it
will mask their calling number.

Hello we are using CCM 4.2 and i have been asked to provide an
internal number masking facility for the Helpdesk staff because they
are getting call back etc straight to their lines. Externally it
works a treat with the number masking option. Im sure there are
people out there who have the same problem in hiding numbers
internally. Is there any way of doing it without a VB script or do
i have to create a CSS/partition just for them?

I hope one of you egg spurts can help J
