[cisco-voip] DMA Warnings

I had a similar situation with the DMA, I took the warnings and ran.
They were warnings not errors. My upgrade was smooth (besides the user
errors). I know its not as helpful as you would like.

Thanks,

Robert Knapp

I am attempting to get a clean DMA fro 4.1(3) to 6.1(2). I have managed
to clean up a lot of items, but here is a sample of the remaining
warnings I cannot figure out what to do next. Anyone run into these?

1) Warning: PersonalAddressBook: EndUser PAAdministrator not found.
Invalid user.
PAB-DN=cn=PAAdministrator1125670333868,ou=PersonalAddressBook,ou=PAAdmin
istrator_info,ou=user_info,ou=CCN,o=cisco.com
Condition: Either the user does not exist in the directory or has been
tagged invalid

Solution: Please verify that the user exists in the directory and is a
valid CCM user; ie. User with profiles

(So, do I really just create a Global User called PAAdministrator and
that'll fix this one?)

2) Table: DeviceAddOnModuleMap 2008-09-26 03:02:18

   Row: 47 SQL error: -746(2304)
Warning message (Business Rule Violation): This type of expansion
module is not supported by this device.

      SpecialLoadInformation
      tkModel 124

(We have 32 of these and the only correlation I have to that number is
the number of 7906 phones we have. I cannot find the pkid in the devices
table. Is there some other table I can cross-reference to see where
these expansion modules are attached to?)

3) Table: Telecaster 2008-09-26 03:56:54

   Row: 367 SQL error: -746(423)
Warning message (Business Rule Violation): Device Profile can only be
created for devices that support Extension Mobility feature.

      DirectoryServicesURL2

      IdleTimeout
      ProxyURL
      AuthenticationURL

(I can't find another table that this warning connects to either. I
only have two. Perhaps they are just orphaned?)

Thanks for any help,

Pete Ruttman

You could try SQL Enterprise Manager, or Crystal reports to make the
PKID
readable.

Using SQL you should be able to make an export of the entire CCM dbase,
if
its readable ... yes .. A bit..

Is there an easy way to extract a list of every gateway in 4.1.3 into
something manageable? (CSV, txt, xls, etc)

I believe you should be able to see this in the log-file on the
Attendant
itself. Not quite sure what the exact file locations is though.

There is no quick way to get a hold of this logging that I'm aware of.

You could certainly look through your acserver.txt log files and parse
out
this information, but I don't believe it is readily available in any
reports.

Hi folks,
Does anyone familiar with the transcoding feature on 26xx/28xx/38xx?
I want to translate 150 calls to G.729 fromm G.711, what's the minimal
hardware requirement?

Thanks!

David

David,

You should use the DSP Calculator to estimate how much DSP resources
you will need for transcoding

Regards,

    Ariel
