Hi Ariel,
I found below information from Cisco website,
Cisco IOS Enhanced Media Termination Point
Per NM-HDV2
This type, which supports Cisco 2600XM, Cisco 2691, Cisco 3725,
Cisco 3745, and Cisco 3660 Access Routers, provides the following
number of transcoding sessions:
• Transcoding for G.711 to G.729a/G.729ab/GSMFR—128
• Transcoding for G.711 to G.729/G.729b/GSM EFR—96
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps5855/product_data_sheet0900aecd8016a8e8.html
So I need to order CISCO3825(2GE,1SFP, 2NME, 4HWIC, IP Base, 64F/256D, IPvoicek9 12.4.21Image) + two NM-HDV2 cards so that it can support 256(128x2) transcoding sessions. Is that right? (I'm wondering the memory is not sufficient).
The most important thing is can I use this router with other softswitch(SIP/H.323) coz not all the calls come from Callmanager.
Thank you.

David,
Check out the PVDM2's for use with ISR's.
Depending on the size of the router you can load between 128 and 256 worth of calls using g711. Divide by 2 for g729. Sent from a shiny magical device with predictive typing.

Thanks, Ariel. So I still need the DSP card NM-HDV2 (IP Communications High-Density Digital Voice or Fax Network Modules for the Cisco 2600XM/2691/2800/3700/3800 router platforms).I saw the largest one is NM-HDV2-64 which can only provide 32 calls with G.729 codec. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps2617/products_tech_note09186a008039c316.shtml#req How many NM-HDV2 can a C37xx/28xx load?Comparing with AS5400+NP108, which one is better? Thank you. David

David,
You should use the DSP Calculator to estimate how much DSP resources you will need for transcoding
