[cisco-voip] Can't Transfer Shared Line

I have a Pilot point set up for reception with shared lines between 2 phones. (7931)
 
This works ok, but I can't transfer a can't transfer a call ?? the option is greyed out and the display  says the function is not available ( or something to that effect )
 
Ringing the shared line directly also prevents transfer ( so that rules out the Attendant Pilot )
 
I have a shared line in my office ( 4 phones on 7940's ) that works fine with transfer.
 
Any ideas...
