You might want to take a look at "survivability.tcl" and the
associated TCL and VXML scripts used with ICM/CVP/VXML Gateways. I
thnk they do what you're asking about, though im not entirely sure
what method theyh sue to accomplish their handling of a failure. I
havent looked at how they're coded but I beleive they serve a fucntion
similar to what you're lookign for - perhaps you'd learn something
from going through them.
