Years ago I had a buddy buy a Cat 6500 from a gray market vendor. It arrived still configured from Enron's network.

I remember a while back, that Cisco did not allow you to put used equipment on SmartNet until you "certified" it. Cost of certification was quite expensive. Close to buying new.

Cisco has recently (last couple of years) introduced off-lease equipment for sale. You might want to look into that as well.

has anyone used any used (refurb'd) Cisco gear(more important Voice gear)?

What vendors have you had good luck with, and which have you been disappointed in?

you can email me offline, but would love to hear others opinions.

Some of the ones I've looked at are:

impulse tech
network hardware resellers
IT outlet

Thanks
