So one would think that this is straight forward huh? HP labels 1-4 outside, but when you get Red Hat going (which is what the IPT OS is) you see 0-3 so they should map huh? Not necessarily, sometimes I have found on HP that different OSes evaluate the NICs in different orders, so don't be too surprised if 1-4 maps to 3-0. On a side note, PXE seems by default to pick some random port set at the factory as well, go figure.

None the less the Admin Guide for CUCM 7 -> System Config -> Load License says:

Step 3	Follow the system prompts. You must enter the MAC address of the Ethernet 0 NIC of the first node of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager cluster. You must enter a valid e-mail address as well as the number of nodes and device license units for which you want licenses.

So if you miss the prompt you could actually sit through the rest of the installation to retrieve the MAC after the fact.
