[cisco-voip] Cisco Unity 4.0 (Receiving an error-"The audio codec identified by the format tag 7 is required to play this file")

What codec are the wave files that you are trying to upload in? Can
you play it back on your own PC? What do you see if you look at the
properties of the wave file?

The Media Master bar should transcode whatever you upload, but it
would be limited to the codecs that Unity is installed with. I believe
that would be G711 ulaw/alaw, G729, G726, GSM,and PCM. If it is in
some other format, you might want to load them up in a sound editing
program and save them in one of the above formats (G711ulaw would be
the best bet).
