[cisco-voip] Unity 5.0(1) with Exchange, TUI warns about almost full mailbox

How about this registry key?

Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software\Active Voice\MalEx\1.0 \DisableStatusCheck

The two values that you can set up is
0 - Cisco Unity checks the mailbox size against mailbox quotas during subscriber sign-in, and warns the subscriber when a quota has been exceeded (default).
1 - Cisco Unity does not perform any checks to see if the subscriber send limit, receive limit, and send/receive warning have been exceeded during subscriber sign-in. As a result, Cisco Unity does not warn subscribers that their mailbox is full or almost full. This setting also disables all mailbox size diagnostics, and overrides the settings for "Conversation - Full Mailbox Check Feature" and "Conversation - Full Mailbox Check Prompt".

You can't turn those notifications off. Unity doesn't have any
separate quotas configured in it, it only goes by what you have
configured in Exchange, this behavior is the same across 4.x and 5.x.
Sounds like it is time to start checking mailbox sizes and quotas.
Messages left in 'deleted items' are a common cause of confusion in
this department, they still count toward your overall mailbox size. It
is also possible that Unity is caching some bad quota data in SQL.

Check out this white paper, it was written for 4.x but still applies.
It goes into all the nitty-gritty for how and where Unity checks for
quota information:
