Hi,

I believe the voyager has a base station that can be plugged into any normal
headphone jack.. i.e. your 7965

What issue are they actually having?

Is it working at all? If not.. there are 2 types of cables.. 1 to be used
for headsets with external amps.. and 1 that can be used with phones that
have built in amps (i.e. your 796x)

Also the manual that comes with the headset has a setup guide that should be
followed step by step.

Cheers,

Tim
