I have gone the way of synchronizing with our central AD directory (AD is the only LDAP directory supported). We will be importing users from the import tool rather than creating them as local users. This gives us an easier account creation process and a centralized password repository/tools.

Subject: [cisco-voip] importing users from cucm6x to unity connection 7x using dirsync
Is this possible not to create any user on Unity cx 7x and it will suck users from CCM6x?
I read SRND where it has mention that user can be imported from CCM database via DIR_SYNC.
Just wondering if anyone is using in production and any draw back of not creating users on unity cxn.
