I've got a bad disk I need to replace in a Unity Connection 7 installation. I haven't replaced a disk on a linux based appliance yet and I'm just wondering what the procedure is and how I monitor the RAID rebuild.
In the olden days, we use to:
1. shut down the server
2. remove the disk
3. turn up the server (press F2, F1 to keep the RAID config in broken mode)
4. insert disk
5. monitor using HP/Compaq utility
I suspect it's going to be something close to this, since it's still an HP, I'm guessing the F2, F1 sequence still exists, but I'm wondering what the monitoring software is going to be.
