You have to load it in VMware workstation. Convert the IDE disks to SCSI
disks. Then import the VM using VMconverter into ESX. LONG process.
There is a document on VMware on how to convert the IDE to SCSI disks.

What did you have to do to load this into ESX? I'm getting the same GRUB
loader error 18 that you mentioned...
Thanks,
Brian

I finally have this working on my ESX server. I converted the vmware image
that comes with the NFR kit. I also upgraded it to 2.03.

Anyone one else? Does anyone know if the next version of MPE will be on the
same OS as CUCM so that it can detect VMware?

Thanks but I said that I have already converted it in my original e-mail. I
did use the VMware tool . The problem is that the server image that is
shipped uses IDE drives and ESX does not support IDE. So during the
conversion proccess it converts it to SCSI and then when I start the vm the
GRUB loader does not boot the system.

Hi
try to import the image with the VMWare Converter.
http://www.vmware.com/products/converter/
you can set source and destination and it converts the Image from VMServer
to ESX.

Has anyone found a way to install Meetingplace 2.x in Vmware ESX? I know you
can order the NFR from Cisco and they will send you a VMware image already
configured. The problem is all I have at my company. ESX and not vmware
server. I have tried to convert it and it will not boot.
