[cisco-voip] Unity 5x Phone View fails

ERROR_WINHTTP_INVALID_SERVER_RESPONSE
     12152
     The server response cannot be parsed.

Here is what a valid response from my cm server looks like:

<DeviceList>
<Device t="30044" n="SEP001BD5846B6B" d="Auto 4960073"  
c="cssSimclient" p="Default" i="14.48.24.11" s="1"/>
</DeviceList>

if not working build from there.  next steps:
verify authentication information
verify certificate exchange. perhaps unity cached an old or different  
version of the certificate that keeps https from establishing properly?
