[cisco-voip] IPCC Connect 2 PSTN Calls

Hi all

I know there has been a delay on this, but we have managed to get the place call working.

We now have the "triggering contact" as a call (from the person that called the ipcc server) and an "OutCall" as a call from the place call function.

But we cannot work out how to join the calls together.

I have attached a simplified example of what we have as a picture.

You would need to handle it the same way the SNR feature does, with  
separate timers for "answer too fast" and "answer too long".  If the  
mobile phone is off then voicemail would pick up immediately, in  
which case you want to drop the call because it was answered too  
fast.  If the cell rings no-answer to voicemail you want to drop the  
call due to it not being answered in time.   Both of these would  
require extra scripting on the IPCC side to take these into account.

In your case you are almost better off having IPCC redirect the calls  
to internal phone lines that have mobility enabled.  CUCM already has  
this nifty SNR feature so use it to get the calls to the mobile  
phones.   You also  have an advantage in that it is simple for the  
users to modify the settings on the mobile device the call is sent to.

the VM issue. but that would be a training issue with the guys

Definitely possible with small modifications to the default aa.aef
script to input the mobile numbers.  The only restriction on the
outbound call destination is in CUCM via partitions/CSS.   Depending
on the selection for redirect CSS on your IPCC port groups (in
appadmin) either the inbound gateway or the CTI port's CSS will be
used for the outbound call.

I'm not sure what docs are out there for the scripting part.  I'd
start with http://cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/custcosw/ps1846/
products_programming_reference_guides_list.html unless you feel
brave, in which case I'd say fire up the CRS editor, load up aa.aef
and start poking around.

Following the recent Swine Pandemic our business wants to have an
auto attendant that the end points are in the PSTN i.e. mobile
numbers.  Though they want for example options in the auto attendant
to circular hunt different mobile phones.  I.e. option 1 would hit a
finance dept and there would be multiple agents who could receive the
call.  Any suggestions would be welcome.



Also, does anyone have any good references for IPCC scripting?
