[cisco-voip] Cisco 7960 woes

So at this point it does look like the phone is getting the config
file which is good. It does have the right IP address for the CME
router populated in CallManager 1 (216.24.23.79).

If you were able to telnet to port 2000 on 216.24.23.79 then there is
no ACL or firewall blocking you. You definitely need to get the
packet capture to see why the phone isn't trying or able to connect
to the CME router.

Thank you so much for all your help, btw. It's deeply appreciated.

Well, thanks for confirming one suspicion I had, that these things
cache information and remember it even if things like the tftp
download failed.

For all the things below, know that the call manager and tftp server
are both running on the same box, a cisco 3600 with an ip number of
216.24.23.79.

Ew. Difficult, that. I can try if absolutely necessary.

Here are the ephone-dn and ephone configs from teh 3600 for all these
phones. I didn't create these, I just kind of inherited the problem.
Is there something fundamentally wrong here that would keep the non-
working phones from being able to register?
