[cisco-voip] CUPC Presence statuses...

In addition to the Subscribe CSS, assuming CUCM 6.x here...


Check that the CUCM specified as the Presence Gateway is in the CCM Group of
the DP of the SIP Trunk

Check that the line is associated to the user on the line config page (at
the bottom)

Check the CUP Troubleshooter for errors regarding CUP Publish trunk

If your trunk or Presence Gateway is specified as a DNS Record, try changing
to IP address

If none of the above work it might be time to start looking at the CCM, SIP
Proxy, and PE Traces to see what happens with the PUBLISH messages that CCM
sends across the SIP Trunk when the line goes off hook.

Check your presence Subscribe Calling Search Space.  Make sure it is the
same on the Sip trunk as it is on the devices you wish to monitor.

OK, so we basically have three statuses...

Available, green with a checkbox....

Idle, Yellow with a minus sign...

and DND which is red with a slash....

How do we show that someone is on the phone? It appears to only work
when I make the call using the softphone... (CUPC), but if I set CUPC
to use the deskphone and make the call either thru the desk phone or
thru CUPC, I do not show as on the phone from other users...

Control of the phone from CUPC works fine... no probs at all...
