[cisco-voip] Play Message without Voicemail or UCCX?

I hear ya. I'll have to see whether it is in there or not in v7 and above.

Definitely limited, but helpful in some cases. Does it tell the user how many people are ahead of them? Unity/Connection queuing does this.

Well, we do use the AC software for our receptionists, but you can setup as many pilot points you as you want, and you don’t have to necessarily use the software. It is completely, free, just a part of CCM 5 – I’m pretty sure it’s in 6 as well. Not sure about 7 and beyond, what with AC being phased out and all.

As far as using it as an alternative for IPCC/UCCX, it’s possible, but it’s pretty limited; no viewing calls in queue, no time of day settings, etc. It could probably get the job done on a very small scale.

Thanks John. This question has come up quite a bit in the past. This sounds like a half-decent workaround/solution.

>From what it sounds like, your just using the callmanager configs for AC, not the software itself.

I just checked v4.1(3) and I don't have the queueing option.

Can you create these things for free? Can this be used as a backup/alternative for IPCC?

Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

I did figure out how to get it working with an attendant console pilot point - set it to allow Queuing, create a DN not attached to any device and set it as the only member of the pilot point hunt group. Incoming calls just immediately get placed into the queue and hear the MOH.

Do you have a gateway you can run a tcl script on that could just play
a .au file? I don't know myself how to do it but I know it's possible
and i'm sure someone around here may know how or have a script they
would share.
