Just out of morbid curiosity, did you check the MD5 sum after download and burning?

Subject: [cisco-voip] Kernel Panic after upgrade to 7.1(2a)
Hello
I had problems upgrading from CUCM 7.0.2 to 7.1(2a) using DVD. After multiple DVDs and multiple attempts the install completed. However, I couldn't get an option to reboot to upgraded partition after installation completed. So, I ran the upgrade again this time I requested server to reboot to upgraded partition after reboot. The install completed successfully, system rebooted and it kernel paniced.
Errors:
Mount: error 2 mounting ext3
Mount: error 2 mounting none
Switching to new root
Switchroot: mount failed: 22
Umount /initrd/dev failed:2
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
I will probably open a TAC Case. Fortunately this system is my new call manager and isn't in production yet. Grub won't allow me to select Partition A on boot up. Will I have to re-install to get out of this predicament?
Thanks,
Mike
