Not entirely clear what you're asking. If you want to be able to dial
an extension from some call handler and go to the user's mailbox
rather than try to transfer to them first, you can set the
subscriber's transfer rule to 'send to mailbox', but that will keep
you from being able to transfer to that user elsewhere (at least,
without some trickery).
Another option (questionably effective for an external AA, though), is
#2. If you dial a #2 after the extension you are trying to reach
(XXXX#2) from the call handler, the transfer rule will be bypassed and
you'll be sent to that extension's mailbox regardless of their
transfer settings.
