[cisco-voip] What codec/sample rate/resolution...?

Came from a Nortel IVR (exactly what I don't know).  After a couple days
struggling with this, I concluded they were corrupt as the file sizes
seemed small.  The customer somehow re-exported them as PCM (.raw) and I
used Adobe Creation 3.0 to Save As G711 uLaw, 8K, Mono and imported them
in UCCX 7x with no issues....

 

Thanks for looking at the original file, I was going insane thinking I
was doing something wrong...

Interesting file.  reviewing it in a hex editor it has several 'odd'
attributes compared to other wav files.  Where did it come from?  There
is some indication this may be a windows WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE file:

Byte 0x10 is 0x1C  where in normal wav files it is 0x10:

Windows Media Player thinks is a Intel G723 type 42 but can't play it..

 

I do suspect it 8000 Sampling Rate and uLaw....my goal is to be able to
open and listen to it then convert it to G711 uLaw via Audacity or Adobe
Audition...
