[cisco-voip] Problem with a (CUCM 6 sgn.iso image DVD) or me

To provide a counter point I have mounted upgrade ISO files in VMWare
and had them be read just fine for upgrades. I don't believe that's
any different than burning the .iso image to DVD and using the
physical DVD.

ah - so i'm guessing you have to cut a DVD with the .iso on it as a
file, not cut a DVD from the .iso?

in addition, i believe the upgrade literally needs to find the .iso
file on the disk if you choose to go that route. we've been back and
forth on this a few times so my recollection gets fuzzy. SFTP is
the cheaper option either way. There have also been issues with some
optical disk drives, especially in the IBM servers, where reading the
disk drive fails.

Hi Lelio,

That worked but it’s too easy. I need to complicate this and make
myself work harder for it.

I’m determined to figure out this DVD iso image thingy issue stuff if
it kills me.

Speaking of things I have little knowledge of, I have to get to
practice to coach my U5 soccer team.

I’ll work on killing myself tomorrow.

Thanks for the kick in the back side

Kevin

Try with TFTP and see what happens. Grab a coffee after the transfer
starts...

Hello folks,

I’m trying to upgrade my Pub 7845 from 6.1.2 to 6.1.3

Pub works fine.

I have downloaded the upgrade for CUCM 6.1.3 part 1of2 and 2of2

Copy /b (the 2 files to one file)

Burned it to a DVD – verified the copy

I can mount it on my PC and see its contents

-I put the DVD in the tray of the PUB

-Logged into OS Admin

-Choose DVD

-Entered the /file name (I tried it with just the slash and with the /
file name)

-Select NEXT

Nothing happens?

Have I done something wrong that someone can see?

Could it be the DVD even though I can mount it and see the contents?

Or could it just be me? I have been in a slump for a good week or so.

Thanks,

Kevin O’Donovan
