[cisco-voip] Auto shutdown server

Okay then...your UPS software just needs to execute the ssh remote command needed to gracefully shutdown the server when you encounter a power failure.....then again if this UPS software is win32 only, I'm not so sure how cleanly you can acomplish this. I guess you could always install Cygwin.

Why don't you read my original e-mail. I am not using a UPS and have no
intention to use one.

"Integration with Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)As of CUCM 6.0(1a) and
higher, the Appliance supports integration with select models of APC UPS for
select MCS 7800 models. Previous Appliance releases rely on an external
script monitoring the UPS and issuing the Cisco CLI for graceful shutdown. A
future release will expand UPS and MCS support.
See the release notes for CUCM 6.0(1a) for more details."

It sounds like Cisco says, "RTFRNs."

Great. This does not answer my question. The doc does not reference what I
am trying to do or a way to accomplish it.

Lo and behold, a quick search on cisco's website turned up this result.

First things first, do CUCM 7 boxes even give you access to the shutdown
command?

Has anyone done this before?

Has anyone wrote a script to shutdown a server using UPS
software? My UPS software can run a script file when the battery gets low
but I
need to script the commands to shutdown the CUCM 7.x and Unity connection
7.x .
