[cisco-voip] OT: A note to vendors, resellers and partners...

While this may not be everyone's opinion on the list, after years of off-line discussions, it's apparent that it is generally frowned upon to either (a) spout your wares unsolicited on the list or (b) grab members' e-mail addresses and cold call them or send them unsolicited e-mails about your services. 

It's not uncommon for member's who receive cold calls/emails to send a request to list administrators asking to have your name removed from the list for breaking this unwritten rule. 

That being said, it is not completely frowned upon if a member has requested assistance in solving a particular problem that is not covered by an out-of-the-box solution from Cisco, if you send a short message letting the user know that you may have a solution for them and to contact you off-line.
