[cisco-voip] message server is offline -- Unity 5.0 and Exchange 2k7 UM

we had a network outage last night.  but according to Unity event logs,
Exchange is online.  But when logging into the VM box of a user (all Users)
we get Message server is offline.

I have restarted Unity with no help.

What should I be looking for?  I'm not seeing much of help in the Event log.
