As Dennis said, to eliminate the pause, create dial peers with more exact patterns.

Whenever you a T in your destination-pattern you will get your interdigit timeout.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Post-dial Delay - two H.323 gateways with E1 interface

Hello,

I've configured a very simple H.323 environment. Two Cisco 2811 (IOS
12.4(15)T) as H.322 gateways with one E1 (CAS R2) interface each.
There is a PBX connected to the first gateway (through the E1
interface) and the other one is connected to the PSTN. Everything looks good (calls are following from the PBX to the PSTN and vice-versa), however there is a 15 seconds post-dial delay that I couldn't fix.

I've tried to change the DTMF, H.323 and voice-port inter-digit timeout with no change in the post-dial delay... I suspect that this is related to the H.323 connection or codec negotiation, but can't tell for sure. The below configuration is what I'm using in both gateways.

If anyone can point me to a direction, I would really appreciate.

Thanks in advance,
Gustavo.
