Is there a grace period after upgrades? 30 days or something?

I installed the 7.x feature license on our 6.1(2) system prior to the upgrade with no problems. At a local Cisco session on Callmanager, they recommended doing this.

I'm not certain that 6.x would validate a 7.x sw feature license.

Why would you not load the license files pre-upgrade? I would hope
that is something we can do.

Hi Ben

I did upgrades on three separate clusters going from 6.1.2 to 7.0.2
without issue. I'd just say to make sure you have all the license
file ready to load post upgrade. One side note - we did try to do an
upgrade over the network as we were originally told it was supported.
However, Cisco TAC has hold told us that major upgrades are not
supported over the network - only from the local media.

Hi guys,

Long time reader of this mailing list, first time poster. I'm about to
upgrade my two node 6.1.3 cluster to 7.x. Does anyone have any
experience with this upgrade and if so what were some of the pitfalls/
problems that occurred? I'm trying to understand the relative
difficult or ease of upgrade.

Thanks
