[cisco-voip] AXL services on unity connection

A previous post raised this question. Our Unity Connection 7 server already points to our AD infrastructure. We are planning on install CUCM v7 early next year. What advantages/disadvantages are there to configuring AXL services that synchronize Connection to CUCM? 

Does this mean that every user that I create on CUCM is automatically given a voicemail box on Unity Connection? Or does it simply put them in the list of users to "import" from?
